What is Storyville?

Storyville is the place for original designs, locally designed apparel, customized tee shirts and screen printing services. With shops in Baton Rouge (next to LSU), in Austin (next to the University of Texas), and in New Orleans (on Magazine Street) our mission is to celebrate local artists and designers while encouraging individual expression.

Our motto here at Storyville is “Wear Your Story.” And we mean it. In Storyville, you'll find many ways to express yourself. We offer hundreds of designs from dozens of local designers. We also offer locally-themed designs that are made right here in the shop (by us Storyville siblings ourselves). Beyond the pre-made items, we also make one-of-a-kind custom tee shirts as well as screen printing services for hundreds of t-shirts.

In our shops, you can make a customized tee shirt for only $25. Choose from thousands of fonts, 25 different colors of American Apparel t-shirts, 15 different print colors and limitless fonts and graphics. We can help you design your shirt, or you can design it yourself. We also offer screen printing services for orders of 12 or more shirts.

Don’t want to make your own shirt, but still want to express yourself in a unique way? In our Baton Rouge and New Orleans shops, you can check out our our collection of apparel that celebrates the “joie de vivre de Louisiane.” And in our Austin shop, we’ve got plenty of shirts, wallets and bags that celebrate that famous Texas-sized pride. In all of our shops, all of the apparel is designed by local artists or it is created by us. Click here to see our growing collection of Storyville Originals. Our original designs are printed on the highest quality t-shirts on the market, American Apparel. American Apparel tees are made here in the United States -- and they are sweatshop-free.

Our apparel is fun, funny, happy, loud, subtle, provocative, socially conscious, politically aware, but most of all, look good and put money back into the pockets of local artists. And our kids clothes, baby clothes, bags, wallets, bracelets, track jackets, and hoodies are some of the coolest you’ll find anywhere. You won’t find any other boutique that carries apparel from our unique collection of Louisiana and Texas designers.

The doors to Storyville opened on January 16, 2007, at 236 W. Chimes Street in Baton Rouge (right outside the North Gates of LSU). The doors to Storyville Austin opened on August 29, 2007. Storyville Austin is located at 2001A Guadalupe Street (on the Drag, on the corner of 20th & Guadalupe). And on March 27, 2009, Storyville New Orleans opened on historic Magazine Street at 3029 Magazine Street. Give us a few years and we'll be coming to your town too.

Storyville is owned and run by the Harvey Durham siblings… Gabriel, Seth, Victor, Elizabeth, Mercie, Juan, Estefania, Blake, Josh, Rebekah and Paula.
